Chad Houser  -  President

As Chef/Partner at Parigi restaurant in Dallas since 2007, Chad Houser’s commitment to locally sourced food can be found on his menu every day. In fact, for several years, the Parigi team has relied on the Dallas Famers Market and its producers to keep local dairy, meats and produce on its plates.  Houser and partner Janice Provost’s sustainable efforts were praised in a review by Snooty Foodie, recognizing Parigi as “local before local was cool.” With a rich family history steeped in the Dallas Farmers Market, Houser grew up a DFM advocate. Also a volunteer for the Dallas County Youth Village, he joined the DFMF Board in 2008 and became President in 2010.

Debbie Bozeman  -  Vice President

Long-time advertising professional, Debbie Bozeman spent more than 25 years as an artist agent, representing nationally recognized artists and photographers in the advertising industry. Her interest in the downtown area began in 1999 when she and her business partner opened The Boyd Gallery in Deep Ellum and served on the Deep Ellum Neighborhood Association. Always a customer of the Dallas Farmers Market, Bozeman joined the DFMF Board in 2009 to chair the marketing and PR committees. Today she serves as the group’s Vice President and leads its membership and marketing efforts.

Sara Wick  -  Secretary

An avid shopper and fan of the Dallas Farmers Market since the 1970s, Sara Wick has entertained many out of town guests with trips to the DFM over the last four decades. Wick has served on the DFMF Board of Directors since 1998 in a variety of roles including president, treasurer, newsletter editor and now secretary. Wick was raised on a Midwest farm and her love for gardening landed her garden in a full-page, feature story in The Dallas Morning News in 2008, titled “A colorful bit of garden chaos” by Mariana Greene.

Martha Carter  -  Treasurer

A friend of DFMF founder, Ida Papert, Martha Carter is the DFMF Board of Director’s most tenured member. For more than 15 years, Carter has served the DFMF in several capacities, as treasurer, chairman of the organization’s largest annual fundraiser, the Hoedown and community volunteer. She has been married for 43 years, has three children, four grandchildren and shops at the Dallas Farmers Market regularly.
